Hoi An Lantern Festival on 3–6 December: “Hoi An – Colors of Heritage”

From 3 to 6 December 2026 Hoi An hosts the International Lantern Festival. This year's theme is “Hoi An – Colors of Heritage”.

The festival spreads across the Ancient Town: Hoai River Square, the An Hoi Sculpture Garden, along the Hoai River and through the streets of the historic centre. Hoi An at night, with thousands of lights on the water and above the streets, is one of the most beautiful sights in Vietnam.

It opens a longer programme: Da Nang will hold cultural events and festivals in Hoi An and other heritage sites until early 2027, including Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day and New Year celebrations.
